Challenge

Ethicon offers information for patients about colon cancer. They wanted a clear video with the different steps of the treatment.

Our approach

The biggest challenge for this explainer video is to find the right balance between the tone of voice and the graphic style of the illustrator.
Furthermore, most of the patients with colon cancer are older than 50. We wanted to make sure that the target group is familiar with the illustrative style. So we made an explainer video with the illustrations of Artuur Vandekerckhove who based his illustrations on old school drawings and books in a very slow animated style.
